Java SE 7 End of Public Updates Notice

After April 2015, Oracle will no longer provide updates from Java SE 7 on its public download sites. Existing Java SE 7 downloads that were made available prior to April 2015 are still accessible in the Java archive on the Oracle Technology Network. Developers and end users should update to newer versions of Java SE, which can still be publicly downloaded, in order to continue to receive publicly available updates and security improvements.

Where can I get Java 7 downloads?

July 2015: Updates for Java 7 are no longer publicly available. Oracle offers updates for Java 7 only to customers who have purchased Java support or are using Oracle products that require Java 7.

If my Windows system has Java 7, will it be upgraded to Java 7 or Java 8?

Along with the CPU release in January 2015, users who have activated the automatic update feature will be migrated from Java 7 to Java 8.
