Who is the general manager of WWE Raw

WWE Raw (12/17) McMahons announce a restart

The reset button pressed: The McMahons have announced a fresh start at WWE Raw from Sacramento (California). From now on you want to listen to the audience.

“We haven't given you what you expected in the end. From now on we will listen to you again. You are the authority. "

That was the message that the entire McMahon family carried at the start of Monday Night Raw. After some of the worst editions of Raw in human history, the McMahon family promised a fresh start. Vince McMahon had called his children, Stephanie, Shane and Triple H, into the ring.

New approaches and fresh match pairings were promised. In addition, the McMahons would now jointly run Raw and SmackDown!

Vince assured us that WWE was "then, now and forever".

But who had to interfere here: Baron Corbin. The ex-GM, defeated the night before, said he had not been treated fairly. After a brief discussion, the McMahons gave him the chance to keep his GM place. To do this, Baron Corbin would have to win a match today.

(1) Raw superstars (Kurt Angle, Chad Gable, Bobby Roode, Apollo) especially Baron Corbin for Corbin's place as Raw General Manager

It was Kurt Angle who was set up as an opponent for Corbin. Stephanie surprised with a special referee: Heath Slater. And after a commercial break, Triple H put more superstars at Kurt's side: "I completely forgot that this was a handicap match." Chad Gable, Bobby Roode and Apollo joined them. They worked together on Baron Corbin while the referee looked away. Shane McMahon then made the match a no-DQ match, whereupon Heath Slater stepped on Corbin and the other wrestlers used chairs against Corbin. The match ended with Kurt Angle's Angle Slam. Because the fans asked for it, Corbin was also promoted through a table with an angle slam.

This segment was basically a repetition of the "match" between Braun Strowman and Baron Corbin from the previous evening.

(2) Finn Bálor def. Dolph Ziggler by DQ after the intervention of Drew McIntyre

This segment developed from what happened at WWE TLC.

Drew McIntyre came running to the ring just as Ziggler was about to show a super kick. Dolph attacked McIntyre, Finn followed outside with a Tope Con Hilo. Back in the ring, Ziggler managed to score the Fameasser for a 2-count.

McIntyre then attacked Bálor in the ring, whereupon the referee ended the match. But Ziggler also had to believe in it and received a headbutt and the claymore kick. He then gave such a kick to Finn outside the ring.

This finish did not go well with a fresh start. Ultimately, a triple threat match was set up soon.

Dean Ambrose held a promo in the ring: “What I announced has come true,” the new Intercontinental Champion noted while four gas mask wearers stood around the ring. Ambrose offered Seth Rollins the opportunity to get in the ring and face him. But Rollins did not show up, instead a wrestler, who had hardly been employed in the last few years, accepted the challenge ...

(3) Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose owned by Tyler Breeze

Ambrose dominated at the beginning, the audience almost fell asleep. Tyler Breeze got some spotlight, including his beauty shot, which he took to the finish. With the Dirty Deeds, the title defense was then secured unspectacularly.

“This is how you can defend your title,” Ambrose said as Seth Rollins' music played. One of the gas mask wearers turned out to be Rollins, who attacked Ambrose from behind and beat him out of the ring.

“What is that supposed to mean with the fresh start?” Shane McMahon was asked in a backstage interview. Before he could give a straight answer to this legitimate question, Drake Maverick interrupted him. Maverick called his AOP a legitimate tag team champion. Shane decided to play a # 1 Challenger Match later that evening to determine the upcoming opponents for Chad Gable and Bobby Roode.

NEW SUPERSTARS FOR THE MAIN MANAGEMENT

The following NXT stars were announced in a graphic for an early start in the main squad: EC3, Heavy Machinery, Lars Sullivan, Nikki Cross and Lacey Evans. The WWE addition was briefly presented in a video.

“The evening before, everything went wrong professionally and privately,” Seth Rollins recorded in a backstage interview. But Rollins will find its way back on the right track and promised to put an end to Dean Ambrose.

Baron Corbin showed up and blamed Seth for his demise as GM. Seth had little interest in this chatter and without further ado sent Corbin to the ground with one blow.

“So far this fresh start is going really well,” commented Renee Young. Which fresh start she meant is an open question. Overall, despite the big words at the beginning, the show felt like every Raw edition like it did last (minus Corbin as terror GM).

Ronda Rousey explained to us in a promo what makes a good champion. Finally, she said that in the future, the reigning champion should best put his title on the line the day after a major event. Ronda wanted to do that himself. Backstage, the Raw women fought for this place, so Stephanie McMahon had to shout in between and set up a gauntlet match that would determine the next opponent for Ronda.

(5) Gauntlet for a match against Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey (next week in the Christmas edition):

(5a) Bayley in particular Alicia Fox with a Crucifix roller

(5b) Bayley esp. Dana Brooke with the belly-to-Bayley suplex

(5c) Mickie James especially Bayley with the MickDT

(5d) Ember Moon especially Mickie James with the Eclipse

(5e) Natalya def.Ember Moon with a roller

(5f) Natalya in particular Ruby Riott with a roller

(5g) Natalya def.Sasha Banks by giving up with the Sharpshooter

This means that Raw Natalya and Raw Women's Champion Ronda Rousey will meet in the Christmas Eve edition.

The title holder came into the ring and presented the winner of the gauntlet, her friend Natalya, who will be the opponent in the coming week. A handshake sealed the schedule for the coming week.

It's all about RESPECT between # RAW # WomensChampion @ RondaRousey and @ NatbyNature ... until next week! pic.twitter.com/MkGPTHTNGP

The Gauntlet match filled the third Raw hour (53 min.) And didn't feel like a fresh start. In principle, like the entire issue. Next week's Raw edition was taped in Sacramento following that episode.

In addition to Ronda Rousey vs. Natalya there will be on December 24th. also Seth Rollins vs. Baron Corbin, Finn Bálor vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Dolph Ziggler as a triple threat match and an appearance by Paul Heyman.
