All 25 cars have already been given away as a prize - sticker cards are completely out of stock

Roland Schwedthelm could hardly believe his luck when he found out that he had won one of 25 cars in the national PENNY photo collection. The Aerzener is now the proud owner of a new Ford C-Max. Even though he "had never won anything before."

His profit is all the more valuable as the rush for the PENNY photo collection was immense. A few days before the official deadline (October 1st) the total of 36 million sticker cards are sold out. Since July 25, customers in all PENNY stores in Germany have received free sticker cards with a purchase value of 15 euros or more, each containing four images of car parts from different car models. If the relevant model in the booklet was correctly and completely filled out with six stickers, the customer automatically had this model as the main prize. And that's guaranteed, because there was no draw among all entries in this competition. There were nine Fiat 500s, seven Ford C-Maxs, five Alfa Romeo MiTo, three Audi A4s and one BMW Z4 to be won. Customers can find out who the lucky winners are on the Internet at www.penny.de or on notices in the markets.

"We are pleased that so many customers took part in the free competition. The passion for collecting is obviously unbroken, especially when the conditions for participation and winning are so simple," said Martin Wiedersich, PENNY Marketing Manager today (23.09.) At the Cologne headquarters .

In order to ensure that all 25 cars that were awarded the prize actually get a new owner, a smaller number of certain sticker images was put into circulation. Should it happen, following the random principle, that other participants submit the collection booklet completely and correctly by the closing date (October 1st), they will also receive a car. "No customer who has filled out the booklet completely and correctly goes away empty-handed," emphasized Martin Wiedersich.

The next loyalty campaign at PENNY will start on October 4th: Customers can collect loyalty points for every five euros they buy and use them to secure high-quality glass sets from Schott Zwiesel free of charge.

The 3,668 PENNY branches (+2.2 percent) in Germany, Italy, Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Romania and Bulgaria achieved a turnover of 10.3 billion euros (+0.3 percent) in 2010. The number of employees rose by 4.3 percent from 42,000 to 43,780.
